Client Profile
Our Business Modelling Group is growing very quickly and we are seeking to expand our healthcare modelling capability to service our clients\' needs for high-quality, commercially focused models. We have a breadth of healthcare clients that include the Department of Health, SHAs, PCTs and a wide range or provider organisations.
We are currently looking for Associate Directors to join our team and help to lead the growth of our business in this sector. You will have responsibility for the success of the business as well as individual client projects.
Support from the senior members of the team will enable you to further enhance your business development skills while benefiting from the breadth experience afforded by KPMG\'s wide client base.
You will need strong drive and commitment to be a success in this rewarding role.
The services you will deliver include:
- Impact assessments: demonstrating the detailed impact of opportunities to drive quality and efficiency improvements, either for a single organisation or across a wider health economy;
- Strategic modelling: needs based assessments - forecasting demand, through capacity, to financials; including the use of KPMG\'s Whole Health Economy (WHE) model
- Business planning: needs based assessments, supporting Foundation Trust Applications, IBP benchmarking, Service Line Reporting (ABC, PLICS), PbR Tool, Service Line Reporting, Forecasting
- Performance Measurement Systems: identifying metrics, designing the reporting process, resolving issues and developing the tools to support the process
M&A in Health: developing forecasts and scenario analysis for healthcare transactions, including mergers and the development of joint ventures to deliver services
- Cost analysis: allocation, comparisons and reporting
Role Description
Responsibilities:
Our projects are often time pressured, sensitive and involve working with a variety of project teams across all disciplines and industries.
Working as an Associate Director in our modelling team you will:
- Act as principal client day to day contact on major projects; developing a complete understanding of the issues and their potential impact on the client\'s business / business decision
- Develop relationships with senior client staff and take responsibility for delivery of projects
- Build and maintain a strong internal network and awareness of KPMG services to ensure that our clients benefit from the breadth of advice available
Support Partners and Directors in the design and delivery of business development initiatives both as part of wider KPMG initiatives and for the Business Modelling Group
- Scope, design and take overall responsibility for modelling projects.
Operate as an effective team manager, coach and mentor
- Present to clients / targets in formal situations
Role Requirements
The Individual:
To succeed in this demanding role you will need:
- Wide experience of the Healthcare sector and knowledge of the issues affecting the commercialisation of that sector
- Sound financial knowledge (an accountancy qualification would be beneficial but not necessarily essential)
- Experience of applying modelling techniques, including forecasting
- Proven ability to scope, design and deliver complex projects
- Proven experience of leading teams and undertaking client facing roles with high quality deliverables
- Proven ability to achieve and manage client expectations
- Proven experience of delivering commercial and financial advice
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience
- Sound understanding of risk management in professional services / modelling environment
You are likely to have experience with one or more of:
- Other \"Big 4\" accountancy firms
- Leading consultancy practices
- Industry based business analysis teams
- NHS teams responsible for options appraisal, performance or activity reporting, capacity modelling, cost analysis, PFI modelling
