Title: Senior Manager - People & Change - Public Sector

Client Profile

Infrastructure, Government and Health Advisory (IG&H) at KPMG is a growing group of some 300 advisors working nationally to serve the public and private sector middle markets in the UK. We concentrate on advisory services in the areas of performance improvement, strategy, organisational development, procurement, people and change and financial management.

The People and Change group has been created to provide advice to clients on all people related issues associated with managing large scale change. The focus of the group will be on the four areas which together represent key elements of the people agenda facing organisations today, namely:

- Behavioural change management (CM) ensuring that organisations are able to manage people through major transformation projects and deliver business benefit
- Organisation development (OD) addressing issues including organisation. design, role clarity, performance management, organisation culture, employee development and reward and recognition.
- Transforming human resource departments (THR) creating cost effective, integrated HR functions that contribute to the delivery of business strategy.
- Talent development focusing on market-leading approaches to identifying, retaining and developing talent.

The success of all solutions offered by Advisory are to a greater or lesser extent dependant on the firm\'s ability to work with clients to ensure that staff affected by the proposed changes are ready, willing and able to change their behaviours and adopt the new practices required to deliver business benefit. Changes to service delivery models, processes or technology fail when people do not accept the need to abandon old operating practices and adopt the new ways of working.
