Client Profile
Our IT Strategy & Change Consulting service gives clients support and advice to ensure that the technology in use in their business meets their organisational needs and objectives and assurance that IT will help them achieve their aims. The successful candidate will be both managing and participating in work for clients such as IT strategy development, IT systems requirements gathering and analysis, providing recommendations for IT to support business processes, and reviewing and managing IT programmes or projects. The role will require working closely with client staff and others to review the use of IT within an organisation, the aims and objectives of the business or key stakeholders, or current processes and software tools in use. The successful candidate must be able to talk to clients on a business level, and to IT suppliers or client staff on technical issues. Practical experience, preferably supported by certification, in the use of a recognized enterprise architectural approach (e.g. TOGAF, MODAF, FEAF, Archimate) as a means to ensure coherence in such interaction and analysis is highly desirable. Alternatively, since much of Arup’s business is related to the built environment, experience in geospatial information systems, such as GIS or built-environment modelling, would constitute an acceptable alternative or supplement to proficiency in enterprise architecture.
